We are so excited to announce the dates of tryouts for the 2027 season. Tryouts will be held at the YMCA of Chilton County. Please try to attend all days of tryouts if possible. To register for tryouts, follow the 'How To Register' guidelines below.

Ages 9-14; $30 Tryout fee

HOW TO REGISTER 

1. DETERMINE THE AGE GROUP FOR YOUR CHILD

The age group your child can play for this upcoming season is determined by their age as of July 1st, 2026. Refer to the age definition table below for help. 

2. COMPLETE THE SRVA MEMBERSHIP FORM AND MEDICAL RELEASE FORM, PRINT THEM, AND BRING THEM TO THE TRYOUTS.

• NOTE - USAV/SRVA tryout registration will open no later than 06/15/2026 for all Junior players. When registration opens, you will notice a new option this season. A parent or guardian will first need to complete a free Sports Engine account.  
• Once the parent or guardian creates an account or uses an existing account (from the previous year), you will purchase a "TRYOUT" Membership for $10.00 for the player prior to attending your first club tryout. There is a full explanation in the "Registration Frequently Asked Questions" document, and if you make a team, then you will follow the instructions in "How do I update my membership?"
• Go to the Southern Region Volleyball website at srva.org.
• Purchasing A Membership Instructions
• Click on the 'Ready to Join SRVA menu link. Click on either Returning Member or NEW Member depending on whether it's your first time to ever register with SRVA. There are links to the Returning Member Instructions and the New Member Instructions. Please read over these and follow the instructions, as the SRVA website has a new registration method this year.
• If you have trouble with any of this, we will have someone available to assist you in completing the registration at the tryouts.
• You can print a medical release from the list of important documents below.

3. ONLINE TRYOUT REGISTRATION

4. TRYOUTS

All tryouts will be at the YMCA of Chilton County.  Prior to the tryout day remember to complete steps 1-3 above. 

Items to bring to tryouts include: 

• printed SRVA membership
• medical release form (below in Important Documents)
• $30 tryout fee. 

5. COMMIT TO PLAY

Emails will be sent out one week after tryouts. If you are selected for a team, you are required to respond to the email to notify us of your commitment. In the commitment email, a team meeting date will be provided, during which information for the season, such as tournament dates, practice schedules, and team requirements, will be discussed. Also, at this meeting we will collect your first payment, confirm your payment plan selection (1 full payment, 2 half payments, or 3 payments), and collect the players' sizes for their spirit packs.
